As the tittle say's, pinlock now available for the mk1 tour x.

Original visor drilled, and pins fitted by local Arai rep FOC,
juat had to pay the £15.99 for the insert.

Had to drop of visor at local dealer till the rep called, once every fortnight.

If your anywere near sunny South Wales try, Thunder Road in Bridgend 01656 661132 ask for Helen,:bow yes she's aware that her name is now on this forum, and she will sort you out.:beerjug:

Had mine done as well at Phoenix Distribution (importers), ring up , check someone is in the workshop and drilled free of charge, only 20 minutes from home.

Don't bother with Infinity in Farnborough ... I called in to pick up a Schuberth C2 I had on order last week ... as I'd ridden in in a Tour-X I enquired about getting the visor pinlocked, (Infinity claim to be a 5 star Arai dealer) ...

No idea, not interested, "think there'll be a new visor on the Tour-X 3 which will be pinlocked", want us to order you one ...

Looks like I'll be dropping by ThunderRoad next weekend I'm home ... ;-)

pinlock

i need a new visor for my tx2, does anyone know if the pinlock visor from the tx3 will fit or will i need to get a tx2 visor drilled??

Importers at Phoenix tell me that the Tour X 3 is the same as 2 but not available yet which is why I had mine drilled.

pinlock

cheers teejay, dont suppose the gave a date for availability of the tx3 visors? my visor is past its best now so it would be a waste of time and money getting it drilled.

Got one of the Tour X Pinlocks and drilled the visor myself, easy to do, just take your time.

If you don`t want the hassle or if you need a new visor anyway, Racevisors.co.uk do clear, smoked and black Pinlock ready visors [£2.00 dearer]

Anyone got any photo's of a pinlock fitted to the Tour-x? It would be even better if the piccy is of a smoked one on a clear visor so I can see what level of coverage the pinlock gives. TVMIA :thumb2

Had an email from Mark at www.racevisors.co.uk
"The pinlocks have arrived last week and should be listed on the site late this week, they can be ordered over the phone on 01481 266457. We can supply the pinlock prepared visors now in black, light tint and clear."

Cheers for that... Just ordered one!

So do standard pinlock insets fit? I can see the pin lock ready visors but I don't see either a kit for the tour-x or tour-x inserts.

I bought black pinlock ready visors from racevisors but then bought the inserts from M&S on ebay, they only had 5 in stock last week, not sure about now. And yes, they are tour-x specific, a big cut out in front of yer nose.

Edit: Forgot to mention, Pinlock p/n 36001-Clear

Edit Edit: Or maybe that's the M&S p/n, Pinlock one looks like it could be Clear DKS 064!

Just remembered somebody wanted a pic of this, I'd not be going for dark pinlock on clear visor, coverage is terrible, stick to clear pinlock and buy two visors.
