How many miles have you ever eeked out of a set of tourances??

This doesn't include getting them re-grooved!! The longest i've got out of a rear was 14,000miles, give or take.

That's a good life for your rear. Best I've managed is 11000 for the rear and 15000 for the front.

I now have about 18,000 kms (work it out for yourself) on my Tourances, and I reckon I should be able to get at least another 4-5000 out of the rear...

Well, bummer for me, I manage approx. 9000 kms (about 6K mls) with a front Tourance and about 7000 kms (4.5K mls) with the rear. They still beat Anakees in endurance, they only last 5K mls (front) and 3K mls (rear) and no, I don`t do burnouts `n stuff, just a lot of gravel...

Just replaced the rear at 30k miles, previous one was at 12k miles so that's 18k.

Front I've never worn down but have had 1 puncture and 1 cut tread, so the most I've got out of one of them was 10k miles.

There are advantages to riding like a big girl's blouse ...

I've managed about 7500-8000 on the latest and previous rear tyre.

P.S I'm on the lighter end of the weighing scale and never travel 2 up.

Otherwise known as a skinny barsteward with no mates:D :D :D

So I'm a fat bastard with no mates, but I only get the same mileage - 7500 from a rear. As for the front I have managed 15000 but I generally prefer to have a new set in one go.

This time (next week hopefully) I'm going for TKC80 in time for some ford riding at the Lands End meeting :D

Yeah but I bet it costs a fortune in tyres for your car and trailer - ;)

Oops almost forgot - best I've had is about 20,000km , same from the Enduo 4's that were fitted from the beginning.

Ooh, driving with a trailer. Waaayy too dangerous for me ... I think I'll ride. Slowly.

I don't believe that for a second - towing something behind your car is a national sport in Holland isn't it :D They all come down through Belgium on the way south towing something . One speeding along at 90kmh and the other powering past trying to overtake it at 91kmh..........:P

I think that people in Belgium behave the same except they don`t tow anything, they keep left allthesame.... I really don`t have any problems overtaking the "british" way, on the RHS... but then again, I don`t ride a car and I`m not likely to do so in the next few decades :D

What J-P said. I do wonder why the Dutch are so besotted with towing large objects behind cars. Fortunately, I have sworn never to own a car again, so am immune from the tempation ...

From a rear?????? Do you know where the throttle is? And what it does? :D

I struggle to get 8000 from mine, and even that's generally considered to be 'gentle riding'. :)

I suspect that tyre pressures have a lot to do with it as well. If you don't have enough pressure in your tyres, they are going to overheat and wear much more quickly.

And a lot of it is down to smooth riding. And of course, the twistier roads you ride, the longer your rear tyre lasts. It's all that blasting about with the bike upright that shags your tyres. If you're constantly heeled over, then you distribute wear more evenly. Or at least that's my excuse for riding the twistiest roads I can find (quite difficult in one of the flattest countries on earth).
