Just been quoted £124 for a rear tourance (fitted). I thought this was a bit excessive.

What prices have you been quoted for them?

Last one I had was £101 from Chells in Stafford (fitted to loose wheel) but I think they have recently gone up in price due to a shortage of them and that they are all now 'V' rated.

I've recently paid £95 fitted to wheel on bike (well, they took it off for fitting:D ) at a garage in the Forest of Dean.

..... and I want some tourances ;)

Looks like finglonga is right in that the H rated version seems either to be in short supply or no longer made maybe as all I can get are V rated ones.

Best price I've found is £101.25 off the internet NOT fitted, and £80.63 also without fitting.

Also, Ive checked and have 3mm of tread in the centre portion of the tyre in BOTH the front and rear tyres. Do they normally wear at the same rate. Im used to havin 2 rears for every front. The bike has just done 6000 miles

Just had a pair of V rated Tourances fitted at Universal tyres, Billericay. £159 fitted to loose wheels, £10 balancing.......

Qutoed the following:

Universal Billericay Essex
£203 pair fitted balanced ride-in-ride-out

FWR South London Kennington
£192 pair fitted balanced ride-in-ride-out

I would trust both of these places and prices seem OK for this neck of the woods and will be using one wthin a week - my rear Deathwing really has come to the end of the road.

BTW - availability seems pretty good.

Tourances - Prices

Just got 2 rears and a front all 'H' rated for £195 inc p&p via the net from Germany. Local dealer fits them at £10 a time to loose wheels. National Tyres will do it for £5 but its more hassle to go there.

Some of the Tourance prices quoted here are on a par with the prices being paid for the 120/70ZR17 and 180/55ZR17 combo that is fitted to most sports tourers. A very worrying trend. Are some dealers cashing in on the current drought of Tourances?
