Touratech brake lines

After a long saga and 2 weeks conmuting by train... (see thread
http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=12174&highlight=bar+risers ) finally I got the brided hoses and installed them.
However, even if I did order the correct part number and the proper part number DID arrive, the bit that connect from the reservoir to the ABS junction is too short!! They are suppose to be longer than the standard to aloud for bar risers but even after removing the risers they are still to short!!
Also, the reservoir end has a odd angle that makes the pipe rub against the petrol tank.

Obviously something is wrong but after going almost bald from scratching my head, I can figure it out.
Has anyone fitted Touratech thingy's and confronted this problem??

When I was looking to put braided hoses o my 1150 I spoke to Prestige[bmw] & one of there fitters came out to help me I put forward tourtech hoses, He said that he was not impressed with them [he used to work for Bracken & had fitted a lot of them & all of them were very tight he said like Banjo strings so I went for a combination of GS Adventurer & Goodridge which have plenty of freeplay

The oneI need to replace is the top from the master pump to the junction. Do you think Goodyear make them for the GS? Seems that the bottom banjo is not standard

I had exactly the same problem (amongst others) with my HEL brake lines. It took them five goes to get it right, and I'm still waiting for the partial refund they promised me. To be fair, their main man, Simon, did his best to get it sorted for me but it was a comedy of errors. In the end I had to send him a drawing of the difference between the union he'd sent and the OE.

If you give HEL a ring and ask for Simon he will be very aware of the problem and be able to send you what you want by return.

I got mine from HEL (with yellow sleeving of course) about 3 months ago. All fitted fine and the service was good too. If anything the hoses are slightly on the long side. Think it was about a 100 quid for a complete set (four hoses).

Thanks everybody. Just ordered the top pipe from Hel. Nice chap, understood exactly what I need. All for 25 quids. Sod Touratech.

Now, if we didn't have this "industrial action" stopping the post...
