Just bought a pair of 41 Ltr Zega panniers from the For Sale forum, and lovely they are too. The left hand pannier has a cutout for the exhaust and comes with an exhaust extension.

Anyone out there got this kit on their 1150 GS?

Fitted the frames to the bike today, no problem, panniers fit the frames, no problem, but I'm not sure I'm getting it right with the exhaust extender - does it secure only with the clip that wraps around the frame tube or also with the nut/bolt through the small bracket on the frame? If the latter, I'm about 2 inches out of alignment. Did wonder if i need to take the end cap off the exhaust so the extension sits further back but I phoned Touratech and they said that's no necessary - it should just fit.

Advice please...! :nenau

Are you running the standard silencer or a remus etc, and is the extension round or flat? also is the cutout like a semi circle in the pannier or a squarish cutout?

With standard silencer and extender.

over heating pannier

same on mine no extension melted heated jacket and mosquito net :blast
you might have to get one made

You're lucky. I know of someone who didn't fit an extender, and the heat from the exhaust melted one of the pucks. :eek

And before anybody says anything, it wasn't me. :D

I never fitted mine and ended up with a melted puck and rear indicator. Ended up having a new puck fabricated in billet alloy by a local firm. Then decided to go down the stubby route which solved all the problems.....:D
