touratech foglights

Hi! Was wondering if anyone out there can help with an aux light question? I`ve just bought a pair of aux foglights for my 1150gs on ebay. The auction was described as a touratech item with all hardware and wiring. After paying my 200 quid I received the lights a few days later. The lights I received look nothing like the touratech jobs, are halogen(not xenon-Touratech) no wiring or protective shroud ala touratech either, and dont fit the mounting bracket!! Seemingly this guy used a stock touratech photo and is selling inferior copies on ebay? Have I just answered my own question or have I been duped?

Did you pay by Paypal?
If so raise a dispute on the transaction and get your money back.
If you paid cash or cheque I think you are screwd but still raise a dispute through eBay

as mad dawg says, open a dispute, and contact the the seller see what he says.

+1 on the Paypal thing.
I had a problem with some lights I bought on Ebay Germany.
After they arrived they weren't what I'd paid for and seller was pr1cking around so I opened dispute with Ebay/Paypal and they refunded me the whole amount(way more than I was expecting).

Thanks for the info guys, the guy on ebay hasnt replied to my mail yet.Here`s a link to pic of lights.They are hella, halogen lamps not xenon units.In fairness they arent half bad looking but they are not the touratech item, and I paid over 200 euro for them. Let me know what you think. Many thanks again!!!!

They're Hella Micro DE Premium edition mounted on what looks like a MiGSel mount.
Probably cost you less than €200 new?

You didn't let us know how you paid? Was it Paypal?

I remember this item on ebay, i put a bid on them. You can go through ebay and complain (couldnt tell you if this would achieve much) as these obviously dont represent what he was selling. Do you still have the auction page?

name the seller if you dont get satisfaction so others avoid him.

dont do ebay meself as i feel it too easy to get ripped off

Paid with paypal. Seller still not answering mail.I`ll open dispute and see what happens.Mount seems to be a copy of the migsel one.

Thanks Padge! Hadnt a clue what these were and googled them.Saw a pair for £135, so with the mount and postage its not far off 200 euro. They are good quality and made from magnesium so I shouldnt complain too much, but still bit annoyed at misleadling info on ebay as they are not the xenon touratech ones.
