Just bought a set of the new shape ones that say they fit the 1150 and the 1200.

My arse they do.

No matter how I offer them up to my 1150 they aren't even close to fitting the bloody thing.

It's not just me either. There's an 1150 that uses the same parking bay as me and his look like stevie wonder fitted them.

zero out of ten. Load of auld arse.

Same thing here, but when I mounted them they fit is much improved. Fitted the short end first and tried to warm the plastic before drilling the second hole. Jobs a good un now (but not tested them on a really bad day yet!).

got some universal hand guards to fit my XL600 P-DACAR .. I had to cut, drill, file, n sand off till they even looked like the standard ones.

but we all know "universal" means they dont bloody fit

We really shouldn't have to heat and bend something with is advertised as fitting the bloody bike.

I think I'll have to go down that route though. It's either that or bin 'em.

Had the same thing myself about a month ago (posted a message about it on this Forum). As you say when offered-up the fit seems pretty cr*p however took the hand-guards off the bike, put the spoilers in a bowl of boiling water, took my time fitting them, and they now are fine.

I suppose they are trying to make them fit several bikes rather than being model specific.

I took mine out of the bag and fitted them straight on, with the guards still on the handlebars. They were are a perfect fit

They fit fine...

Mine fitted fine as well - you have got them back to front!
