Well unit finally arrived on Wenesday, took a couple of hours fitting it, no major problems - just took my time. Everything needed comes with the kit. No hardwiring, ballast plugs into the main beam connector from the back of the original unit.
Originally contacted Touratech in Germany, they said the unit was not available or legal in UK. Spoke with Nick at T'Tech, he had same feedback but ordered it anyway, neither of us know why Germans didn't want to send it. So if you're interested call T'Tech in Wales. Nick said he'd compared it with the small HID spots T'tech sell and it was better for spread and distance.
Anyway it's bloody good! Light intensity is amazing, just like daylight
and importantly the spread and beam pattern is broader than standard, so I can see where I'm going and where the roads going. Still tinkering with the adjuster screws to get the aim spot on but thoroughly satisfied.
I'll be fitting one to a mates bike in a couple of weeks but before I do I'll try to get some side by side pictures to post on here.
Cheers Jim
