Touratech oil temperature sensor

I'm currently preparing to install an IMO computer on my R100G/S and in connection with this an oil temperature sensor as shown in this photo:

Apparently the sensor wire should connect to the sensor with the red connector also shown in the photo. Only problem is that it seems like a very weak connection. Has anybody thought of a better and more solid way of connecting the sensor?

It's not weak -it's how all the K series and 1100/1150 models connect to the oil pressure switch.
I've never heard of any falling off or becoming disconnected.

Ok, it must be an ok solution then. Still think they could have thought of a better connector type that was more protected from the elements. I'll report back if I can think of a better way.
