Touratech one piece seat

All 1 piece seat will mostly do this, because they slope down towards tank, you lose the high low position of single seat

I don't find that with the Rallye seat, it's quite flat

The Rallye seat can be put high at the front and low at the back to counter it, but the touratech one can only be fitted in low both front and back. Hence the concern!

Yes, I have used one for the last 2 years. Brilliant seat. More comfortable than the BMW Rallye seat, have done 400 mile days on it no problem, and love the extra space it gives. Also big enough for 2-up riding which I do occasionally. No sliding issues at all.

I highly recommend getting the coolseat mesh for it (he sells one that is specifically for this seat).

I find BMW seats such a problem.1250 GSA Rally. I am 6 foot 5 and need to sit well back on the seat. The two piece seat limits rearward movement. I am currently riding with seat high at front and low at back to reduce the other problem which is the slope forward. I think the footrests on the GS are too far back as well. I have lowered footrests fitted which sit a bit further forward.
I also have the Rallye high seat. Yes I can sit further back but at the back the slope is significant and not comfortable. The Rallye seat is currently with a seat man to get levelled off - which wont be easy as there is little that can be removed at the rear so the front will need building up.
My Honda 250 CRF Rally is so comfortable, narrow hard one piece seat. I sit right at the back so pegs are forward, great !

Thanks for this.
Can I ask is yours the high version? The normal one looks like it has a step between the rider and pillion, whereas the high looks to be completely Flat. Which looks like it would allow you more freedom to sit wherever works best.

I can’t work out why such a premium bike is so hard to get comfortable on. So far I’ve tried both the exclusive and touratech seats plus the rallye seat. All of them make both my arse and my knees hurt!
All of standard height though so now am going to try the high ones as I think the knees are simply down to being too cramped between the seat and the pegs. The one piece looks like it will also allow me to move about further and still have room for my other half.

Mine is the regular version (I think) as there is a very slight step between the rider/pax areas. However, it is very slight and it does not impede your movement fore/aft. I’ve done many KMs off road with it and it was brilliant for movement.

have you tried lower pegs first, this for me was the most comfort for knees with high seat in low position, I have BMW pegs with 3 holes, I hear they only give 2 holes now.

Thanks that’s really helpful. Can I ask how tall you are? I’m about 6’- 6’1” so am not sure about regular or high.

No, I hadn’t but will do now, thank you!

I’m 179cm so about 5’10.5” with a 32” inseam.
You may be better off with a high seat depending on your inside leg
