touratech steering stop

really? has anyone EVER seen or heard of this happening in practice?

i have been told by a number of members that i should seriously consider the touratech stop, especially as i do a lot of off-roading (and i'm not rich...!). i'm loathe to part with the money if no-one's seen an original part broken...

what do you think?

I'm not sure, haven't seen one broken yet. So I found me a slightly cheaper solution: rubber + superglue. I used a hard rubber block of about 15mm + a soft rubber bumper of 8mm. Works fine, cost = zero.
