Just received my GS on Friday and that has a short screen too. Just today ordered a GIVI touring screen. That one has a smooth curve rather than angles which I think might distort vision. I will let you know how I get on with it. On the previous GS single I modified a car windscreen mount for a Garmin by sanding a curve on it and I have used that for years. Nowadays I have a waterproof phone mount and use Google Maps as any diversions, roadworks, or heavy traffic are instantly updated.

I fitted the GIVI screen today it took under 10 minutes. Made to measure. Visibility through it is flawless. I did find that the hand protector frames interfered with it at full lock so took it off again and ground off about 10mm with an angle grinder and sanding disc at those points to allow clearance.
Tried it up to 80mph and it has made a very big difference.
