Have read lots on here about TP sensors,I have the same yellow warning triangle, started a few weeks ago, about 20 mins into a ride, now stays on all the time with the -- -- reading on screen and the warning 3/4 star wars looking icon on the screen. My question is, with the correct but if kit can the TPMS be disabled or is it a case of live with the yellow triangle or get sensors replaced?
Thanks in advance!

What bike have you got.

I believe that on the pre W/C bikes, the TPMS module is built into the Alarm module under the seat.

Why do I think this?
Because I can find no control module for the TPMS or RDC as they call it. There are two different alarm modules (DWA) one is listed with RDC, the other without.

If so, then It is possible to disconnect the alarm module canbus connection and terminate with a dummy connector which has a 120 Ohm resister in built which terminates the canbus.

If your bike has an alarm fitted, then you will loose that as well as the TPMS.

Termination resister is 61137668405 and only costs a few pounds.

I could be wrong of course, if so, hopefully the more enlightened will correct me.

On the F800 bikes TPMS readings and warnings can be deactivated in the Kombi coding with Motoscan. Probably the same for other pre-2022 models with the Schrader RDC.

I have a 2009 GS with TPMS/RDC but I don't have an alarm, so I think that you could be wrong.

Possibly, but I don’t think so because even the wiring for the RDC/TPMS points to the Alarm module.

It is possible that you have an Alarm/RDC unit fitted under the passenger seat frame, and the bike systems were never programmed for the alarm.

The only way to confirm would be to look under the passenger seat frame for the module.

Have you done that?

BMW made three modules - RDC only, DWA only and RDC + DWA.

Some bikes optioned for only RDC or only DWA were shipped with the module containing both.

The modules containing both can be coded to activate the missing option.

I have done this. My 2011 bike came optioned for only DWA but the module contained both. I used Motoscan to activate the RDC function, added tire pressure sensors and voila - working RDC.

It is possible to disable the readings/warnings from the RDC. This is found in the Kombi coding. I have done this as well. After activating the RDC function on my bike there it was a while before I had the tire pressure sensors installed as I waited for the next tire changes. In the interim the RDC was upset because no sensors were present. Deactivating RDC in the Kombi coding eliminated the warnings.
