I noticed a recent dip in my MPG (< 40 mpg) so I checked a few things, including my TPS voltage.

It was 0.024V (decimal point in the right place!). I rotated it and the max I could get was 0.042v (similar to this thread).

I then rotated the TPS with the engine running. This affected the 'smoothness' of the engine at idle and with the throttle open. That suggests to me that it's working (to some degree at least).

I've never measured it before, so don't know if it was ~0.36v beforehand.

In case it's relevant, I recently replaced all the throttle cables and also re-taped some of the wiring loom whilst the tank was off.

The bike has been running really well since I replaced the cables, so of course kicking myself for tinkering. 🙄

Any ideas on what's going on?

Ah, it turns out my first attempt at back probing the TPS connector wasn't up to the job.

Just had another go before bed as it was playing on my mind. Managed to get a proper reading this time and set the TPS. 😀
