Hello,

:bounce1 :bounce1 In May we (5 GS )do come to the dales :)

When I look on to the OSmaps I see some tracks and roman roads. Can we drive these tracks or do we need permission and is it possible with Anakees or Tourance?

-Busklane (from Bainbridge to Stalling Busk)
-Cam high road
-Hawthornslane from Malham to Bordley
-Green lane south from Dent

:bow I hope somebody can give me some info ;)

Hi,

I dont know about the others that you listed, but Cam High Road and Busklane are listed on the Byways open to all traffic (BOATS) in the Yorkshire Dales National Park PDF. I believe that the list was updated in January of this year. It would probably pay to check it closer to the date to make sure there haven't been any changes. There's some other info here including a contact number, should you need it.

As for whether you can ride them on Tourance/ Anakees i wouldn't like to say as i've not ridden them, but here's a picture of Cam High Road.

Hope this helps out :aidan

I did the Roman road from Bainbridge on Tourances when I first got my GS, it was ok. The cam high road would probably be ok in most places but can be very muddy and rutted in parts, but I've only done that on a Yamaha Serow a couple of years ago.
