Just traded my 20K miles 04 GS ABS, heated grips, in for a new 56 GS with ABS, heated grips, Adv screen, deflector thingies delivery 1/12/06. Got £6750 off Jefferies. Similar bikes in their showroom on offer for £7950.
This might help anyone contempalting a similar deal.

If they put a 1 year warranty on it for 500 quid then the rest is profit after taking into account any remedial work in the workshop and preparation time and paying for the salesman's wages to sell it to you.
Possibly not much left after all that. Anyone know?

If you don't mind me asking how much then did you have to pay, thinking of doing the same thing with an 04 12GS, 15K on clock

Hi John,

Can you now order a standard GS with the Adv screen & deflector thingies from the factory? or is it a Jeffries extra etc.

Adv screen was an extra, you still get the standard screen which to take home, and which will appear on here soon after unless someone is already looking for one?

Just out of curiosity - why didn't you just order an ADV?

When i had a test ride on the new ADV, I did not like the suspension. too big
to be comfortable with + the standard boxes would not fit without work.
The main reason is wire wheels. I hate cleaning them.
I have enough Velocette wire wheels to keep me going

Just traded std GS for Adventure, dealers fitting standard boxes for me :D
Cancelled order so got cracking deal, NEW ABS, Spots, Computer, Heated grips and in the faster white cant wait !!!

I just traded a '05 650gs in at Rainbow and got £4800 for it!!! :bounce1

Thats a grand more than I paid for it in June! :clap Proabably £1300-£1500 more than it should be worth trade-in. There are definately some good deals out there.

I paid list for the new bike but that should keep residuals up which is good.
