Thanks I will check them out. I too cut my Enfield teeth in India, spent a couple of months touring, had a 500 which was more string and cable ties than it was bike, but good times.....:D

Have you got sorted yet Solidstate?

Another picture to savour of Cobster from this parish on his beautiful PD 100 on tour in Spain last year!

The Force grows strong within you young Jedi! Soon the realisation that the knowledge and bent spoons you have accumulated in this short period of time also applies to all airheads from 1970 to 1997. The Force will go stronger and a second airhead will soon be in your garage. Resistance is futile!

Nice to see youngsters taking an interest in what airheads are all about :rob

That made me larf! This is my 3rd airhead (R45 - terrible, R100 RT- regret selling it) and as an ex mechanic having served my apprenticeship in the early 80's, I totally get what these bikes are about - technology I understand, Simple, efficient(ish) and eminently fixable. Love it! Gonna hang on to this one:thumb2

My R1200 GSA is looking a bit neglected of late :eek

A piccie, if it works!

Already looks a bit different - damaged black clock/headlight surround replaced with white one, dual seat refitted for now, new rack just fitted, good old clean up, new disc, pads and stainless brake line, full service and all oils changed, found out that the lack of performance was due to the air bleed/balancing/tuning screws missing from carbs, few little wiring replairs etc etc - jobsa goodun so far. Might even see me on a few events over the year!!:beerjug:

That looks lovely:thumb2

And the big square knobble on the back tyre will give great traction in muddy stuff :D

Cheers! - Plenty of patination on it. 30 years worth! Tyres are TKC's and not bad on the road I find, dont notice that big knobble to much. Must be the Ohlins smoothing it out:D
