Probably in the office. Again.
Anyone else done it?

I'm happy with mechanical stuff, and OK with electrics as long as it involves nothing more than clipping wires together.

How easy do you reckon a Boyer Bransden kit would be to fit meself?

Cheers

Ive fitted them to several old brit bikes and its straightforward - just follow the enclosed distructions. Boyers like nice clean connections and fairly short wires. This is particularly true for the earth connections. If you can, connect the boyer box earth wire directly to the frame with lots of copper grease.
timing is supposed to be done using a strobe after you have set it approximately by eye. This is not necesarry - just set it by eye and then tweak it until the bike runs the best.

Very simple to fit. The only fiddly bit is feeding the new pickup connections through the rubber gromet and down through the front engine case.

OK, doesn't sound too bad. Thanks.:thumb2

Now, the key question:

Am I going to need a soldering iron, or does everything just bolt or clip on?

Thank you gentlemen - just finished the job two hours after I got the tools out of the shed. :thumb2

Most of the time spent testing it all fitted OK, that I knew what I was doing and that I had a hot cuppa handy.

Bike now - amazingly - runs!

Proper testride tomorrow - ham and mushroom omelette and a large G&T in prospect now. :D
