Meet at the Texaco Garage/Somerfield in Marple (junction where A626 heads off to Glossop). Map ref SJ955887. SK6 6DQ

To miss rush hour we'll say 9.30am meet. Away at 9.45.

There's a couple of car parks in Marple Bridge (about a mile further east on the A626) where you should be able to leave your van for free, (or park it on a nearby housing estste?).
We can stay out as long as people want - no fixed finish time.

I think Marple is a bit short of cafes. Plenty of delis though

The Texaco/Somerfield is a mini supermarket selling most stuff and has toilet facilities. There's a bakers next door which advertises hot and cold butties.

Very droll Mick; ok boys I turned up a week early. At 955am thought there might be a misunderstanding..

Called m' mate Mick and ran though my position. He gently explained I was a bit early. He did not make me feel silly and was very kind.

He's a decent guy.

See you all Tuesday, I know where it is, though....

Great day guys. Not without its moments for all of us.

Those last couple of lanes were mental So glad I decided on the DR. The HP would have had me in tears.

After a hot bath, 2 coronas and now a glass of Rioja I`m feeling better.
