Trailer on a R1200GS

you could just buy a car !!

Well see, I started to trials ride and am using a Gasgas which only weighs 66Kg along with a bikelug trailer weighing 55kg that totals 121kg which is lighter than some fat B*****d pillions.

I thought it was a good idea to pull the trailer.
Perhaps I should mount the Gasgas where the pillion seat is :clap
What do ye think of that idea, maybe a bit top heavy and where do I keep the ramp.

Is that bikelug trailer the folding one that fits in your car boot ?

Any good ?? (thinking of buying one)

Yes that's the one. Except, no boot and won't fit in the top box:blast

Have looked at several different makes of folding / dismantling trailers and for the weight been carried and the distance I propose to travel it seems a good option.

I had a mate in SA, and cannot find a pic now, but he towed a home made trailer behind his 1100GS, and at one point he ran out of fuel so I towed him and his bike plus trailer, with his missus on my bike, for about 50miles to the next town.

Here is a different pic for inspiration.

I did it - I used to tow my 'Pinky' (TY250 trials bike) behind my R80GS..........and no I don't have a picture. Too busy riding to take pictures!

Interesting Video, But I bet that Goldwing is going to last about a month, 1st it'll be the brake pads, then the discs will wear out then the rider will probably be crushed under the weight in some horrible accident, I don't envy his job.

The trailer's self-braking, if I remember correctly. The bike's only used for direction and acceleration, so you don't have to worry about 1.5 tons of inertia material tucking the front wheel the first time you stop.
