. . . quick update on my earlier post, just so that those who want to follow the trip can do so, I'll be blogging (and blagging) my way through Africa at this new link www.trans-africa.co.uk
I actually forked out for an URL!
There's a message box and a shout box, so any suggestions whinges requests etc, etc, etc.
Hope you don't mind this bit of blatant self promotion, but I was asked!
Safe riding to you all . . .
I'm sure this is probably in the wrong place, so apologies to the Moderator.

Looks like a great trip. Nice looking bike you've got there:) Can you post some more pix please? What happened on the previous trip that meant the bike had to go back to HPN for a rebuild???

I trashed it in Namibia, I came off at exactly 152kph, developed a high speed wobble, probably caused by the peculiar way the Michelin Desserts had worn . . . ten ribs shattered, collar bone in four pieces and a punctured lung . . . in the middle of nowhere!
I have a few more pictures of the (nearly completed) bike prior to the last shipment of additional kit from HPN, but not sure if I can (or how to!) post them here.

And you want to go back and do it again. Are you sure you didn't hit your head as well! Hope it all goes according to plan this time with no painful mishaps.
Regards
Matt
