Funners and me are taking the ferry over to Eisberg then riding up to Hirtshals for the ferry to Norway in June. I have only ever been to Copenhagen and lived in a muddy hole in a field somewhere else in Denmark.
I know it's pretty flat tho. :augie

We won't have much time on the way north but coming back south we should have the whole day to play with so has anyone got any suggestions of places worth seeing/roads worth riding in Denmark?:nenau

I'm looking at pretty much hugging the coast both ways at the mo unless anyone knows better...

TIA. :)

I would suggest nipping down to Ribe and spending a couple of hours there. Then follow the West Coast up. Hvide Sande is worth a look around on the way up.

Denmark is as flat as a flat thing...

The farthest I've driven from Esbjerg is to up around Æbletoft which is pretty but the roads can't be described as exciting.
If you head back toward Colding that way then you pass the highest hill in Denmark- Sky Mountain at a whopping 153 meters ...

Maybe that's why there so many cruisers here..

Maybe the coast road is more interesting- haven't been that way.

It is a really nice country with really nice people- just very flat........

I have Danish relatives and go there every year. Its scenery is like the Midlands, its not as flat as Holand. It's only a small country. But I would recommend the west coast every time.

When you get near the north check out the sand dunes and buried light house near Loekken (Find Hjørring and look south west). Then its only a short ride up to Skagen right at the very northerly tip of Denmark where the waters of the Skagerrak and the Kattegat meet. If the weather is right when you look out to see it looks like a line in the water where they meet. Keep your eye open for submarines round there as well.

From Esbjerg the road runs north and pretty much follows the coast (which if you follow the coast road it is flat in that bit to be honest) and along some great countryside.

Try the Tuborg!!!! :beerjug:

Yeah I found that on google earth. It's set as a waypoint. Cheers for the info. :)
