aren't you making a category error?

I wasn't suggesting as a like for like replacement for the V85. If that bike becomes unwieldy for me than it might be time for me to give up long tours and just have a bike for short trips to the seaside via the Mach Loop.

if you want a touring bike with the same engine, buy the Tiger Sport

After years of BMW’s, five GS’s, a couple of RT’s and a an R, plus many other makes, I’m thinking I fancy one of these. I sold my 2024 R1300GS in February and haven’t had anything to ride since.
All the reviews are good but there’s quite a few used ones about on line and I’ve found one dealer already knocking off £445 for a new red one.
York Triumph have a demonstrator, so I think I’ll have to try one out, I tried a 765 Street Triple a few years ago and really liked the light weight and handling.
I just want something for evening and weekend rides now, no long tours.

With the bread bin painted black hung under the bike helps to diguise it a bit; my mate has just bought one of these and loves it.
