You just summed up why I chopped my gsa in for a 1290 R - manually adjustable analogue suspension.

I grew to dislike the auto-preload and esa with a passion.

Suits some fine though, diffrnt strokes n all that.

It would not be a deal breaker if my bike didn’t ESA, the only thing I find it convenient for is adding a passenger or luggage.

So... basically what you are saying is that you don't need a new bike, you need a new Mrs. Leadfarmer ?

My favourite engine is the twin cam, loads of bottom and more “feel” than the wc. Seriously considering getting a GS urban but I think they are overpriced for what you get.

Nah, wouldn’t swap her, even for a newer model

I’m in the middle of a fairly major career change at the moment and also buying or having another house built (long story) so I’ve got other things to think about for the moment
