Trip counter not increasing

I've just checked and it is 1.6.6. I'm about to update it to 1.7.1 and see what happens, because at least I now know what I'm looking for. 1.7.5 doesn't appear to be available for mine.

As said, it was briefly doing it on the loaner but it then resolved itself and my bike has been fine since I've had it back.

And, it’s not fixed as I thought. Used the bike for the first time in about two weeks today and trip counter had reset, and wasn’t working again

USA user here, in Texas. R1300GS with a Chigee AIO-5 onboard. I just noticed Trip 1 on the TFT was counting mileage on the TFT. I removed the Chigee and drove around the block and it started counting the Trip1 mileage as it should. Put the Chigee back on and it is not counting mileage again. Looks like I am not the only one. Bike and Chigee are less than one month old and today was the first time I ever noticed that Trip! was not counting mileage. If I start looking, I wonder what else I might find?

I posted the same concern on the Chigee Support Center site where another inmate had the same issue with a AIO5 on a 750GS. Chigee answered rather quickly, and I quote:

"This is a known issue, and it has already been fixed in the latest test firmware v1.7.7. We kindly recommend updating your AIO-5 to v1.7.7, then taking a short ride to check whether Trip 1 mileage on the BMW TFT starts counting normally again.
Most users who experienced the same behavior have confirmed that the issue was resolved after the update.
Give it a try!

So I am guessing that 1.7.7 might fix it. I will give it a try today.

Tried to update the AIO-5 today and the update link is telling me that my 1.7.1 is up to date. I posted the issue on the Chigee Support forum.

As it’s a beta version did you use the update test firmware option rather than the system update ?

After I asked Chigee replied that 1.7.7 is indeed a beta. What the heck, I installed it and will check it out.

I don't think this is a Chigee issue. My R1300RS is fine with no device in the nav mount but trip 1 stops when either a Chigee or my old BNW Nav V! are installed - in fact I checked and just installing the nav device actually resets the trip 1 counter to zero. It is clearly a BMW software bug. Trip 2 is unaffected.
