Triple Black purchase possible

Off to look at and test ride a 2012 Triple Black 1200 gs tomorrow any advice what to look for etc never ridden one before. Its done just over 6000 miles, so is a service due about then and how much if its not been done.
Also whats the difference between a triple Black GS and Triple Black GS adventure.Its got ASC,ESA,and OBC whatever they are.
Hopefully their will be a purchase by tomorrow evening.

Funny that ... i'm off to look at a Triple Black Gs in the morning ... not Adv .... I'm very happy with my Gtr but have this Gs itch and stupidly rode one 3 weeks ago for a mate who was on leave for a few days .... " can you just take it home for a couple of days just to keep it ticking over ? " .. and that was it ... I think a purchase is in the offing early tomorrow .........

Triple Black Purchase

Lunepilot good choice an hope you buy one of the last best looking GS oil cooled bikes ,if its covered 6k it should of had its service ,just check the service book at the rear, if not its anything upto £400 as its a big fluid change time at those miles which incure extra labour time
The main difference with GS /GSA is the GSA has a 33 litre fuel tank an looks mahooosive and will obviously be a lot heavier when tanks are filled ,so unless your off to Mongolia on a regular basis get the GS .
Good to see the mods giving guidance an encouragement
ESA suspension is also good but also fails and is expensive outside of the warranty, my 2012 TB rear has just failed and been replaced under warranty at only" 6000" ,miles so check all electrical toys before you make a decision ,but it should still have warranty being a 2012 model

Of course it is simply the best bike ever built in the range. Both faster and more gorgeouser than all the rest.

There is even room for a few black add ons.

You need to set you the sights a lot higher than that

PS - if you have not worked it out yet:

ASC = Automatic stability control (a fairly crude traction control).
ESA = Electronic Suspension adjustment
OBC = On Board computer

Well I had the test ride Saturday and was well impressed, I liked the bike almost immediately,some people have told me you have to give them time but that wasnt the case with me.
Unfortunately the Triple Black had been sold,but ended up buying a Red 2011 1200GS with full luggage a bit older than I set out to buy but well happy with the deal and pick it up weekend.
