Any idea why this should happen on my 2610? it just wont load up the whole of this route from mapsourse, and just leves me with the truncated route message, its not a long route or to complecated, never happened before!

Thanks
Chris

Hi Chris:

It's rather hard to deduce, from the limited amount of information that you provided, what exactly is causing your problem. However - you might want to first check and see if you have all the map segments that are required to navigate the route you have created loaded on your GPSR.

Thanks for the replys,
how many way points stored, less than 50! via points? there are only 6 routes now on the unit, so not many! As far as mapping Michael, They are all there, and I have one other route running along side the truncated one that loaded fine, (it is my "B" option) in the past if I have loaded on a route where there was no mapping (Slovinea) it loaded fine but when I came to activate the route it just recalculated it to suit the mapping available.

Does that make any sence?

Chris

Chris, have you tried breaking the route into two equal pieces, and saving each of the pieces (first half and second half) as separate routes?

Although you may have inserted less than 50 waypoints and/or via points in the route, the MapSource application inserts all sorts of 'invisible' transition points in a route when you generate it on the computer. It could be that the size of the route is too big to be uploaded as a single route.

Give it a try, let us know how it works out.

Michael

Thanks again Michael

Yep that worked! strange only about a 350 mile route, last year I put 1 route on from Holland to Croatia over 1000 miles, with no probs at all,

1 other question while I,m here! I have heard you say Micheal that you can plot a route just from A to B, then drag it via other places to change the route, I have tried that using the white arrow symbol ( all the others as well!!) but no joy  . What am I doing wrong? I,m running V8 (bit concerned about our trip to france now with the talk of wrong info at roudabouts etc) it sounds an ideal way to do the job!

Chris

When in Mapsource you need to have the route in yellow, ie it's active, does that help?

You can also select the waypoints in the waypoints selection and then ask it to calculate a route, just need to make sure that the waypoints are in the order you'd like to visit them in.
