Can anyone tell me if the TT pannier rack without the cut out would solve the problem of me not being able to fit the rack with cut out around the Remus on my 1100.The can is at a different angle to pictures of others i have seen.

I'm not 100% sure but my guess is that it would work because the mounting for the pannier without the cutout should stick out further than the exhaust so you should be OK.

The Downside is that the panniers will stick out further and unevenly and you will have lost space in the cutout pannier without having gained any benefit.

Hope that helps

I have the non-cut out rack fitted to my 1100 (1999 model) and I have a remus Grand Prix exhaust fitted. The rack is well clear of the exhaust - no problems except that the tail end of the exhaust exits almost directly onto the cross piece that links the two sides of the rack to each other (under the number plate.) This means that bit of the rack is receiving the full blast of the exhaust which has melted the plastic coating and results in a bit of soot on the rack and the inner side (not interior) of the left pannier. I could get the cross piece cut and welded lower but I can't be bothered :D

Cheers lads !
I have put panniers and rack on ebay as i will go down yet another route.Might end up splashing out on Metal Mules.
