… a damp and miserable morning in January.

The A1 western by-pass around Newcastle, the usual nose to tail nonsense in the morning rush hour.

So why is it that I’ve got a big silly grin on my face, and I’m humming the Monty Python music as I’m splitting the traffic?

Got it in one. I’m on my :GS :D

Life could be an awful lot worse :thumb

... sorry, it is worse. I'm in work, but at least I get to ride the :GS home tonight.

Alan,

I take your point, but I'm not suggesting that I was letting my guard down for a moment.

All I was trying to say (for the benefit of those who don't already know) was ... how many bikes could you commute through the traffic on a sh!tty winter morning, and still be smiling?
:beerjug:

Totally agree with you mate,
I am just looking forward to getting mine back all in one piece again, hopefully.... fingers crossed....legs crossed.... touch wood etc etc by the end of the week?

Was the Guy on the GSA singing Bat out of Hell? :D

Ditto - grey, drizzle, lots of cars this morning, but I'm happy cos I'm on my bike. Wierd really.

Does anyone else shout really loudly whilst riding along? I do it quite frequently and its very liberating. Yelling your head off for no apparent reason gives you a sort of tension release. Really shouting as loudly as you can. Fantastic - small pleasures in an otherwise insane world.

:D

Dunno mate, I was too busy listening to the tunes he was playing on his Remus can.

It’s the first time I’ve had the pleasure of following a :GS with a Remus can (and presumably a ‘Y’ piece).

Now I know how good it sounds, I can understand why car drivers want to follow so closely … Nice :thumb

… as for Alan, Iain, Nick, Gerry and way too many others are concerned, I wish you a swift return to the pleasures of sitting on a :GS and … looking down on the Proles. Get well soon guys. :D
