On my old Quest gps as you approached a turn it automatically changed the main screen to turn view.
Does the zumo 220 and/or 660 do this or is turn view only accessed by pressing the screen

No knowledge of the 220 but the 660 zooms in a also has lane assist which gives you images like this one....

I know they have the function at the press of the screen, but do they do it automatically as you approach the turn

Yes they do. Though, if I recall correctly, my Quest used to show a somewhat different screen at junctions with additional info. The more recent models just zoom in as all the other information is already on the screen anyway. It works just as well, if not better, IMHO.

Lane assist is in addition to the zooming in at junctions and currently only available on motorways and a few main A roads. A first I regarded it as eye candy but it is useful as a prompt for what lane to be in if you're not paying attention to the road signs. I imagine in countries where the sign-age isn't as good as the UK it would be more useful.
