You could try removing the large connector plug to the abs control unit?. As long as you don't have servo brakes, ABS certainly won't work then.

I have the servo assited brakes so i dont think that will work. Any other suggestions.

Logically, if you have to press the ABS button each time to deactivate them, then if you short that connection out (so in effect it's automatically pressed) then the ABS will be turned off each time you start up automatically.

Be careful though......there are a lot more roads than you might imagine in many countries so don't make it irreversible or difficult to change the setup.

i was thinking on the lines of fanum's mod. put a toggle switch in place of the push button on the bars or in parrallel with it.
try it and let us know if it works. i don't want to be the guinea pig for my own experiments.:):):)

How about putting extra shims in the sensors so the ABS can't set itself (ie too big a gap)? Easily reversible.
(Don't know whether servo will still work, but easy to check)

the sensor at the back goes through the drive. how far must it be shimmed? i can't remember how far the sensor sticks out. but if you shim it too far it will leave a big hole for oil to get out and dirt to get in.
what happens if you just unplug the sensor? no brakes (residual only)?
