Dear Auntie UKGSer
I am not convinced that the ABS can be turned off on my 05 1200
Ignition off, turn on whilst holding down the ABS button but don't get the Brake Warning light or the yellow triangle?
Please before anyone says RTFM, I have and unless I am thicker than I accept I am, I'm doing it right aren't I?
I'm doing a course on Saturday and it involves the next stage on from the advanced braking I did on the first unit but this time whilst cornering. I'm confident I can nearly put the bike on it's nose in a straight line wet or dry and (with progressive application) beat the ABS i.e. not trigger it.
However, before mastering the progressive bit, grabbing a handful of front, before the tyre has chance to spread the contact patch, results in a massive pogoing. Just in case, I can't be as smooth as I'd like at first, I need to turn off that ABS, I reckon.
Whaddaya fink?
