Turning off headlamp

When my bike was new I was able to turn off the headlamp (which is set up to remain on in normal use permanently) through a combination of preessing various switches and I have long since forgotten the correct procedure.

Does anyone know this procedure?

My bike is a 2011 GS twin-cam.

If I ‘member correctly… Ignition on. Indicator cancel button for 5 secs (or try also left indicator, I never remember which), then right indicator button for another 5 secs.

Will get back to defaults at next ignition cycle.
