10 to 180 ohm is a common variable range for fuel gauges, pressure gauges etc. I'm looking at wiring a standard 10 to 180 ohm fuel level sender unit to a suitable dash instrument. The issue is actually fitting a generic float sender unit to a tank (and fuel pump) intended for the fuel strip.
Does anyone know the output range of the twin cam float type fuel level sender? If I'm lucky it will be 10 to 180 ohm but who knows what BMW actually used.
Can anyone help?
