Ok, Captain Plank here. Can someone please explain to me what is so special about "twin spark"? I assume there are advantages in having them, as they are emphasised in the adverts that I have seen. Another site member reckons they make the bike run smoother, but are there other advantages? Secondly, when were they introduced on the Adventure?

Early 03

Early 03 Twinsparks arrived at our shores. The main reason that Paragon touchs on is emissions from the TUV in Germany. Kept the bike alive, or it could of gone the Fazer and NTV route = killed off.

Surging isn't recognised as a problem by BM*and my 03 twinspark surges occasionally depending on it's mood

Last ditch.....

Attempt at keeping an old agricultural engine up to scratch to meet emmission regs. Doesn't cure surging and only gives marginal improvement on fuel economy.;)

Except the money you save on fuel you have to put to wards the extra set of plugs needed at service time.;)
