Just had a heads up of a recall regarding twin spark bikes. Recall centres on the spark plug leads. Any body been called up to have this work carried out, if so which bikes are affected?

Twin Spark Recall

I have a GS Adv which was recalled for this in March. It is to do with one of the lower leads (I believe) causing electro magnetic / inductive interference with the wire from the landa sensor on the exhaust. I never had an issue but it was done as a recall along with one for the rear brake hose chaffing on the parralever.

I would like to know if there is a recall for the 650's twin spark.
Mine has one spark plug, but as the boss of Club Scarver I like to know.

The racall was for spark wire near lambda signal wire.

They have divided the 2 wire due to have minimum risk of wrong reading of lambda signal. As you know the ECU read the lambda Signal (0-1 volt ) and also adapt the fuelling in particular conditions. HAving a hight voltage wire close to a low Voltage Signal is not a good solution.

the f 650 have not problems.

I don't know if it's clear or not:D :D :D
