Any reason why I couldn't use my Carbtune for t.b. balance? Have seen a lot of references to the electronic Twinmax being used but I can't see how it'd much different to my Carbtune.......

I use a carbtune, what's the difference:nenau

Anything that measures the difference between the vacuum from each throttle body will work.

Don't waste your money on a twin max - get a harmonizer as posted above. :thumb2

+1 for the Harmonizer. First time I used it I kept saying to myself "It can't be that easy...I must have missed something?". Still use the Carbtune on the 4 cylinder K bike though.

+2 for the Harmonizer. Used to use a Carbtune mercury manometer, but Harmoniser is much easier to use. Dunno about a Twinmax, but if you've got to buy one anyway I'd go for the Harmonizer.

harmonizer is unavailable at the moment. i was looking cos i'd like one myself.

i've used them all and the harmonizer is the best, and the twinmax or home made manometer tying for worst. carbines being quite useable in between.

Harmoniser still available?

Im trying to get my hands on one of those harmonisers but Grok's website says they are out of stcok , any clues where to get one would be greatly appreciated as reading through the thread , not many people give a good rating on the Twinmax? I trust Steptoes opinion!
cheers
Greg

I've been trying to buy a Harmonizer for ages. The thread on ADV is as helpful as poke in the eye and generally consists of people who already have one telling everyone else to stop asking how to get one and be patient...
