Is it just me or does anyone else have trouble with Tyre Fitters. Lets put it this way. My new GS came with Metzeler Tourance and these will do me fine until they are worn out. The Wheel Rims are totally unmarked and are in pristine condition as one would expect. However, I fully expect that come Tyre Change time my Rims will collect the various "Battle Scars" of the Tyre Fitter. Over the years I have tried many different Tyre Dealers from Franchised BMW Dealers, Independent Bike Shops and Tyre Dealers. I always ask them to "please take care of my Rims" (maybe thats a mistake) Not one of them has given me back my Wheels in the condition they received them in. If the Technology is there at bike Manufacture Time why can,t Tyre Dealers have access to the same, or am I expecting to much. If anyone does know of a "Caring" Tyre fitter in the Teesside / North Yorkshire Area I would willing travel. Price is not a problem.

it's a bt out of your way but national tyres in barnsley are brill, i've had tyre's fitted to polished rims and powder coated with no marks at all and there well priced too

I can also recomend the lads at barnsley i have had loads of tyers fitted there, never any damage

Just had a tyre fitted to my Skoda Fabia vRS after receiving a nail... It was late Friday afternoon ( 5pm) when I decided to do something about it. The manager at HiQ in WSM said no prob, we'll do it right now....
The lad elected for the task was "chillin" & took umbridge at given a job 1/2 hour before closing....
He made sure I paid by scouring 1/2 of my alloy rim with his machine.... F*ckin useless twats....

Tyre fitter - Middlesbrough

I've had good service from C and S Tyres in Middlesbrough. They always use plastic guards on the rim holding clamps of the tyre fitting machine. Good prices too. Near to the bus station/multistorey car park.

The new tyre fitter takes great care in every part of the process, and you can watch while you wait which to me is a good omen.

Also supplied and fit ultraseal if you use it, cheaper than I could buy it.
only bad point is that I was only offered one cup of coffee this time, I'll have to complain when next in.
