Hi,

Can anyone recommend a tyre fitter in Southern Spain, preferably around Algeciras or Tarifa?

(Not sure whether to cart the tyres down on the ferry and from Santander or see if I can order a reasonably priced pair of TKC's at the fitters.)

The alternative is to fit and ride down on them, but I'm not so keen on that.

Thanks in advance. Any advice welcome.

Richard.

Heading west out of Algerceiras towards Tarifa take a right then I think bear right up to an industrial estate, there's four or five tyre depots up there but there are some on the main road as you enter Algerceiras. Sorry I can't be more specific.

burn more rubber.

Hi
I suggest changing tyres in Maroc - nearer the pistes. Getting more fun and more value from your road tyres. Much cheaper too.

I also thought I'd change them near Algeciras but was later glad I couldn't find a workshop to do the job Christmas week.

In the end I changed them in Er Rachidia in a car garage. The tyre fitter wasn't familiar with m\c tyres but before I'd the first wheel off he had called in the support of a mate who was a motorcycle mechanic which wasn't even necessary.
The larger towns will have modern equipment\facilities - and these "chores" are an interesting part of the trip. Just check\point out the directional arrow on the tyres.

bonne route
David

Hi,
you can do it in our base in Estepona if you want,we give you a hand. Can get you prices for tires too if you tell me what you need,so you don´t need to carry them all the way down(you might get them cheeper in UK,but can check) and you can leave the road tires here as long as you´re in Africa and put them on for the trip home again.
