I hate to bore you all with this question, as I'm sure it's been asked a zillion times before, but my tyre supplier/fitter in Liverpool has closed down (P&M Tyres),
so can anyone recommend somewhere near Liverpool to get a set of Tourances fitted to an 1150GS?
Thanx to anyone taking the trouble to reply.

I use Frank Bather Tyres in Birkenhead...on the A41 near the former Cammell Lairds shipyard and a few minutes from the Birkenhead Tunnel.

Ask for Bob and mention 'Steve with the bikes, from Cadbury`s'

SMD at Leigh

TST at Risley did'nt do Tourance when i rang 2 weeks ago got a good deal at

S M D Tyres Brown Street South Leigh, WN7 1BW, 01942 604511 easy for you to get to about 5 mins off East lancs A580 road.

Just had a set of Conti Road Attack tyres fitted to my 1200RT from Steve at F & B Motorcycle tyres in Wheelock nr Sandach, tel 01270 760795
160GBP to remove wheels from bike fit new tyres, balance and replace on bike a bargain.
Whilst I was there he fitted a set of Tourances to a 1150GS.
Steve is a very meticulous tyre fitter to.
He has also fitted tyres to previous bikes of mine (1150GS and 1200GS).
Well worth the 95 mile round trip.
Highly recommended.:clap :clap

Thanks to all who replied, and if anyone is interested, the cheapest price I've been quoted for Metzeler Tourances is from:
Moto-tyres.co.uk or phone free on: 0800-328 6532

Tourance: Front £56, Rear £78 including VAT and delivery charges.

Trader's MotorCycle Centre in Bromborough (tel: 0151-334-88 89) will fit the tyres for you at a cost of £10 per wheel, including balancing and VAT.

Total outlay is £151 which seems like a good deal to me.

P & M used to be THE place for tyres...shame they let it run down slowly :(

Frank Bathers is good though..in fact you'll pass there on the way to Bromborough !!

My name is still written on the toilet wall in there :ymca  :thumb

I'd rather pay a few quid extra and have Steve from F&B do it. Loves his BM's, knows what he's doing, free brew and a good bit of banter. Well worth the extra few quid.
Balances the tyre by hand (not machine) that is the most accurate method and the way all the racing boys do their tyres.

Seconded.........used him for the last 5 years. Even when I lived in London I made sure I timed getting new tyres fitted with a vist back ooop north.

I used S'port Superbikes. Not the cheapest, but wheels were cleaned and balanced.
