Tyre Fitting

Living near Northampton/Kettering/Market Harborough; anyone know anywhere locally where I can ride in with a new tyre and get it fitted while I wait? And how much £?

Hi Sprout,

I am also in Northampton (Moved up from Essex, like you said warmer down there ).
If you find anywhere let us know for when I stick some tyres more suited to off road on me bike .

If you fancy a ride out some time when its a bit better weather, let us know.

Try Spenders motorcycles on the A6 just south of Kibworth . it might be a drag for u but if all else fails he does fit tyres for sure .About £8 a wheel i think

I've used National tyres in Northampton.
Hi Piggers, defo get out for a ride mate, there are so many GSers around Northampton we should be able to get a decent mob together.Favourite ride is a blast round the cotswolds with a bit of gentle off roading on hard packed shale lanes ( did them 2 up last time, missus whinged like F**k mind )

There is a fantastic tyre and wheel supplier on Station Road Industrial estate Coleshill near junc 2 of the M6 they are brilliant and fit while you wait.
Most tyres and even rims of the shelf.
I will have a look in mcn tommorow and post the name of them.
They also build supermoto rims for you for a spare set.

Hi Jetjock. Thanks for the tip. Went to Spenders today, wanted £15 to fit tyre. BUT.......their kit does not cope with the size of the 1150GS Rear wheel so if fitted, were unable to Balance it :0/

Called Wollaston they fitted and balanced it and I had change from £18 :0)

Sorry it didnt work out.Next time if your up this way try R and S performance down oakland road .He's just tyres so should have the kit .Got two tyres changed for 20 quid and you should be able to negotiate discount
