Has anyone had a problem inflating their tyres with a footpump. My new footpump doesnt push the valve pin down enough to inflate the tyre. It seems to me that the body of the schraeder valve is shorter than normal. Anyone encountered the same issue and what was your solution....ta.

Presume you mean thw BMW tyre pressure sensor valve thing.

Your problem is not down to the fact you are using a foot pump. It's likely the pump connector.

Try a different pump. Simple.

No problems with my michelin foot pump ! It has a screw on connector and the only issue is the GSA does not have the 90 deg valves of the standard GS WC. solved with an adapter from nippy

I had a valve on my car with "deep stem" which I could only inflate by unscrwing the stem flush with the valve top, then inflating, then later screwing the stem back home. Odd.

There appears to be something odd about the new Wethead Schrader Valves. A couple threads on ADV Rider have shown that the center pin appears to stick up to far causing the issues you describe.

Jim
