Tyre Longevity

For anyone that might be interested I have kept a record of how many miles my tyres have lasted on my May 2011 R1200GSA, me weighing 16st.
From new the bike was fitted with:

Tourance EXP = 5025 miles the rear was down to 1mm the front had a bit more.

Michelin Pilot 3 fitted front and rear = 6378 miles rear 1mm (but feathered) front more.

Original old style Tourances fitted front and rear = changed today 9765 miles rear just over 1mm front more. I have now fitted a set of Tourance Next tyres, so will see how they compare.

Best mileage tyres I've ever had are Trail Attacks

19k the front

10.5k the rear

Mind you they were both pretty wanked by time I came to change them

This is all good stuff.

My Exps were good for 5500. Not enough for me so its over to the original Tourance to see how we get on.
