Michelin Road 6 - Noisy Tyre?

I fitted a set of Michelin Road 6's to my 2013 GS about 1500 miles ago. Since then i've got a whine coming from the Bike which is wheel speed related not engine. The wheel bearings both front & rear seem fine so i am left to believe it's the tyres? It I can hear it starting to happen around 40-50mph & up to Motorway speeds on particular surfaces.

Has anyone else had this? Upon a Google/forum search not much came up about the noise of the Tyres.

I have them on my Multistrada. No noise...

Not been up to motorway speeds yet so far up to 50 mine are quiet.

What i have found out is that there is an unusal issue on some in that if you put cruise control on and let go of the handlebars they veer off to the left.

Mine do.

Yes noisy!
Had it checked over by dealer in fact because they were so much noisier than Conti TA3 I thought it was FD or cardon drive issue!!

If you have mudsling on it funnels more of the noise

Just had the tyres replaced on my GSA 1250 from the very noisy Anakee Adventures to the very quiet PR6s, just done a return trip to the Isle of Wight from Lincoln and am very pleased with my tyre choice.

I gave up on Road 6 and installed back my noisy Anakees. All the saga was described in the other thread. In short, bike pulling left and rear a bit instable on high speeds. Things that have never happened with Anakees. For this summer, I'll replace the front one with Scorpion Trail 2 that I have already ordered. I'm done with Michelin, forever.

I have noticed a slight howl from the front on my Anakee 3s.
the conditions need to be just right for it to do it though, as it only does it now and again.

Its not enough of a problem to bother me though, other than that the tyres are good.

Fitted 6s about 1200 miles ago.
No noise, unlike say the original Bridgestone A41, which became intolerable and got binned.

Mine does go left slightly, but i put this down to road camber. My previous CTA3's did the same previously.

I also came from CTA3's previously and these do seem noisier. I replaced the FD oil tonight to check there wasn't any issues there - thankfully not (oil last replaced 6K ago). I have a mudsling so that's probably exacerbating the noise.

I'm not a fan of them yet vs the CTA3; they seem to be more unstable on roads when the surface isn't entirely flat, or has some ridges. And also seem to slide more/be more skittish in the wet too.

I recently changed my bike - the trade in was fitted with Road 6 which had a couple of thousand miles on them. I was never totally happy having felt the rear slip a couple of times under not especially hard riding/cornering. New bike is fitted with Anakee Adventure and it feels much more confidence inspiring, better cornering and no veering to the left when riding with no hands. Noise? Not a problem, possibly a little louder on some road surfaces but aren't all tyres are like that?

YES! I had the Road 4’s which were horribly loud at 4500+ miles. After running Dunlop Road Smart 4 tires to 7,000 miles, I just installed a set of Road 6’s. I hope they solve the noise issue. We’ll see. They were WAY more money than the Dunlops!

I'm 1500 miles in to new R6 in the Pyrenees. Great improvement on the Anakees. Can't say that I find them noisy, they have performed really well in mixed conditions
