Tyre pressure monitor query?

When I change the tyre pressures do I need to do anything with the tyre pressure monitor eg reinitialise it like my car, or does it just take care of itself? The manual doesn't say anything about it so I'm guessing I don't need to do anything but I thought I'd double check

no - just inflate/deflate

just be carefull of the sensors when taking off the tyers. I have done a few with no problems JJH

The sensors monitor an acceptable range of pressure with a warning if out of range.

For information only and not relevant to the BMW TPS:
My Mercs tyre pressure warning system does not monitor tyre pressures.... it monitors wheel rotations with the reasonng that a low pressure tyre will rotate at different speeds to the other wheels. This system needs re setting at every pressure change.

Same as the system used on my BMW 320d, where as the bike system monitors the actual tyre pressure.
