hi
my 65 plate GSA came with a Navigator V.
I noticed it shows the tyre pressure among others. My question: can I be notified when the pressure falls below a certain level?

The warning comes up on the dash when it drops below a certain level it will not tell you if you loose a couple of psi as it fluctuates anyway due to tyre temperature, it is quite interesting watching this when you go for a blast as I did after I plugged a puncture!

I could be mistaken but if you're in the map screen you should see a warning triangle with a number next to - like the 2 you seen when you start the bike (ABS and ASC not started).

Your right, but it only notifies of a significant drop in pressure not the fact you need to pump up your tyres. If it gets to the point of telling you, you are long over due pumping them up!

It warns you on the dash when the pressure drops by 20%, the manual gives the detail, if you have a Nav 5 connected that also warns you, further if you have a Bluetooth headset paired with the Nav 5 that shouts in you ear too :) I know this cos it happened to me for real.

Yes but you can display the pressures on both obc and sat nav so why do you need to be warned if the rear goes down by 1psi every 2 weeks if you can just see the tyre pressures? They're supposed to be 36/42 so if computer says 32/38 then pump 'em up!

I might check our cars once every 2 months but the bike only has 2 wheels so I check them every week as I ride a lot harder than I drive:thumb

thanks for all the input. regular tyre checks are a routine for me.before every longer ride out However, given all the tech and gadgets on this machine who knows what it can do :D

The tyre pressure values as shown on the Nav 5 are not that accurate. As explained to me by BMW mech droid when I had the flashing warning triangle come up on my TE. good quality tyre pressure gauge is the best way of insuring correct amount (of air)in the tyres.

My tyre sensor info is showing rear tyre twice ,no info about front. Can anyone shed light on this? Bike bought second hand and still under warranty, will any dealer fix it?

Were you on the way to Earl Shilton by any chance? :green gri

Is that on the computer or the nav V? If the nav you know you can press each of the data items and choose what to display from a list? If the computer then a dealer should be able to fix it easily enough.
