32 front 36 back......... thats with no pillion thats what i have in my conti road attack........and i've had 2 new tyres this week and thats what they said they needed........
25/29 looks suspiciously like 2.5/ 2.9 Bar as recommended by Metzeler and by BMW for heavier loads...which made me wonder if some confusion had crept in....2.5/2.9 equates to 36/42 PSI which works fine for me.
Both BMW and the tyre manufacturers are correct. As the bike manufacturer BMW can give advice regarding different load factors, so therefore their recommendation of 32/36 psi for a solo rider and 36/42 fully laden with pillion and panniers. A mate of mine is an Avon tyre development rider. All their testing is done at the fully laden recommendation (36/42 psi) simply because a tyre company must assume that any bike they build a tyre for will be operated in the fully laden condition.
For normal road use - way too low and risks damage to the wheels themselves, no doubt will cause increased fuel consumption, pollution, and almost certainly shorten the tyre life.
Even on a track day when it is sometimes advisable to lower pressures, given the heat involved these pressures are still to low.
Some of the previous advice on pressures makes more sense.
