Tyre Prices

Is it my imagination or have tyre prices gone skywards in the last 12 months?

I usually source and eBay deal now and again but it's a desert out there and sets are £180 ish upwards with single rears over a ton
That's at least £25 up from last year...

Also who has used BT021 rears and how have you done for mileage?

I have an 020/021 combination. the 021 rear has so far done about 7,000 miles including rather a lot of M-way and Autibahn. not to mention jollies in the Schwartzwald, Dolomites and Slovenia. Grossglockner. and other bits hither and yon. getting squared off a bit now. but no reason it won't last the winter. will be going for an 023 next time as they're reputedly a bit harder in the centre (than the 021)

I certainly noticed my tyre of choice got a bit dearer, 20 quid ish for a set, this year, will need to stop telling people there good, so they don't increase again

Go for the BT023 far better than the 021.
The cost of manufacturing has gone up and the £ is still shite.

I can understand the manufacturing thing a bit in these economically stifled times Seems to follow the pattern as per the last couple of times...

Pound was even "shiter" this time last year

Perhaps it's all those rich R12 owners

I seemed to buy quite a few tyres last year but this is the 1st one for this! Managed to sell my K11LT with a set pending...
