Tyre pump Recommendations

I can’t see the big advantage of the charge up devices. Sod’s Law dictates that, when a (very rare) puncture does happen, the damned thing will be out of charge.

Unlike pushbikes and beach balls, motorbikes and cars come with a free battery, which they carry around all the time. Two crocodile clips or an SAE lead and a compressor is pumping. Keep it simple.

Completely agree. Even if they will inflate a tyre from flat, I bet they only do it once.

On the last Itchy Boots it looked like she had a faulty or dirty tyre valve leading to a deflating tyre. There was a lot of faffing with a battery tyre inflator and then a trip to find a garage with a compressor.

If I get a puncture, I repair it, use 2 bottles of compressed air and ride to the garage. Usually no less than 4 miles away. Even when in Europe I have now abandoned the bother to carry an inflater or compressor

I’ve got this pump branded AA and I’ve just wired it into the connector I needed for my bike. It’s compact and light and cheap which is a win for me.
I've had the AA branded one and RAC. RAC one is ready fitted with SAE connector. AA one is bit cheaper.
Have gutted the case and made new slimmed down one and carry one on each bike.
Only managed to wear them out from doing too many tyre changes before I got proper compressor.

Useful if you want to air your tyres down though, or if you go further afield than Europe.

That’s very smart. Do you have the print file? I’d be tempted to try that with mine!
