Pulled out a sharp stone that has left a 5mm deep hole in one of the lugs (see pic, finger highlights depth of hole measured). No puncture or air leak. What does the combined wisdom say? Leave it as is? Fill with something? Appreciate suggestions. Ta. :thumb

Leave it, if you're that unlucky that something else goes into the hole, GO HOME the gods are out to destroy you.

I would put a tyre reamer through it,then pull a glued string plug or more than one if required. I certainly wouldn't ride that at much more than walking speed, cos it's fair size of hole and could deflate sharpish like .

Had similar damage to a new TKC 80 tyre a few years ago (right in the centre of a block) , I got the tyre off to make sure there was no damage to the cords or carcass and then got a mate to do a repair , he made sure that there was no debris in the hole and then used a technique with a two part rubber filler that they use for similar damage or cuts to blocks on plant/ agricultural tyres and never had any bother and it lasted until the tyre was scrapped due to being worn out

It looks like that the depth of the hole is less than the hight of the tread block. If so no matter what you do it will wear off as the tyre wears. Apart from as one suggested to make hole trough the undamged carcass of the tyer and repair it. That’s not a course I’d recommend. As it’s no whare near going to make a leak just leave it alone. Or if it’s annoying you cut the bloody thing off!!! JJH
